An abandoned Spanish airport which cost nearly € 1.1 billion to build has been sold for € 10,000 in a bankruptcy auction. Ciudad Real Central Airport, located about 235km south of the capital Madrid, became a symbol of the country’s wasteful spending during a construction boom that ended with the financial crisis of 2008, the year the airport opened. Thai transport minister not confident on FAA audit
Thailand’s Transport Minister Prajin Juntong admitted this week that he was not sure that all the necessary steps taken by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) to improve aviation safety standards supervision will pass the approval of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Virgin Atlantic to trial UK pet travel scheme
Virgin Atlantic Cargo is to partner the City of London’s Heathrow Animal Reception Centre (HARC) to trial a pre-check service for pets landing in the UK on the airline’s flights.
