Amazon gets regulatory approval to test drone delivery
Amazon Prime Air, Amazon’s special service delivering packages in 30 minutes or less, has been approved by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to start trials of transporting orders using autonomous drones. Cargolux and FedEx jointly delivered more than 60 tonnes of cargo carrying medical supplies and equipment to Beirut, as the Lebanese city reels from the devastation caused by the explosion earlier this month. Responding to the surging e-commerce demand, Air China Cargo and Cainiao, Alibaba’s logistics arm, launched a new route to speed up delivery times between China and Europe.
