DHL to pay $53m to settle price-fixing suit
DHL Express (USA) has agreed to pay US$53 million to resolve an antitrust class action accusing the express company and others of participating in an international price-fixing scheme, according to documents filed this week in New York federal court. If approved, the settlement would allow DHL to exit the long-running litigation filed in 2008. China Postal Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for 10 Next-Generation 737 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCFs) and joins China’s Hangzhou-based YTO Airlines (which ordered 15 of the aircraft) as a launch customer for the BCF programme which has yet to be formally launched.
