Menzies Aviation has announced a third joint venture in India, further extending its partnership with Bobba Group. Menzies and Bobba Group have signed a non-exclusive ground handling licence agreement with GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL). Kenya Airways’ ground handling subsidiary has joined Cargo 2000. The GHA, which was formed in 1978 at the inception of the airline, currently handles close to 70 percent of all airfreight through Jomo Kenya International Airport, Nairobi, which incorporates general cargo, courier traffic and post office mail. The GHA operation also extends to Moi International Airport Mombasa. Servisair Cargo has been appointed Emirates SkyCargo’s cargo handling agent at Newcastle Airport, in the UK. Emirates will launch a Newcastle-Dubai service on September 1.
