American Airlines Cargo has further extended its reach in eastern Europe with the appointment of FlyUs as its GSA in both Hungary and Poland. Qatar commences Doha-Amsterdam flights
Qatar Airways has commenced services between Amsterdam and Doha with the inaugural flight landing at Schiphol Airport on 16 June, welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute. BIFA Names Osborn New Chairman
Fred Osborn succeeds Carson McMullan as the national chairman of the trade association for UK freight forwarders, with Mark Bromley becoming vice chairman. Since 2000, Osborn has been the co-owner of X-Pand International Freight Ltd. He has been BIFA's vice chairman for the past two years and was previously chair of BIFA's Air Policy Group. ABC tonnage up 16% in 2015 so far
AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has continued its strong operating performance with tonnage up 16 per cent in the first five months of 2015. In the January-May period, the airline transported 180,605 tonnes across its global route network linking Europe, Asia and the USA via Russia.
