IATA launches standard safety assessment
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) launched the IATA Standard Safety Assessment (ISSA) for airlines not eligible for the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). ISSA is a voluntary safety audit programme aligned with global best practices and created primarily for airlines that operate aircraft which have a lower maximum take-off weight (MTOW) than the 5,700 kg (12,566 lbs.) threshold for participation in IOSA. Schiphol apoints new cargo director
On 1 August 2015, Jonas van Stekelenburg will be appointed new cargo director of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. He will succeed Enno Osinga, who plans to retire in September 2015. CAL begins CEIV Pharma at Liege
Tel Aviv-based CAL Group has announced it has joined IATA’s Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) programme. Dubai invests US$1.2B in airport upgrade
Dubai Airports has confirmed its US$ 1.2 billion (AED 4.3 billion) investment in new and upgraded facilities for the over 110 international airlines that operate from Dubai International’s Terminals 1 and 2.
