AAPA 2009 cargo traffic down 11%
The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) has released preliminary traffic figures for the full 2009 calendar year showing AAPA member’s international air cargo traffic down 11 per cent for the year. With carriers making corresponding reductions in cargo capacity, the average cargo load factor was 66.1 per cent - almost unchanged from the previous year. March start for Swissport/Losch at Munich
Swissport International, a global provider of aviation ground services and its local partner Losch have announced they will be commencing their new joint operation at Munich Airport as planned on 1 March. The partners said they have already won business from a number of carriers, including: German- wings, Spanair, Air Berlin, Air Dolomiti and Czech Airlines as their first customers, with Continental Airlines joining from 28 March onwards. AAT sees 15% decline in 2009 with Dec surge
Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced its tonnage throughput for the year of 2009 was 514,200 tonnes, a decrease of 15 per cent compared with2008. In the month of December 2009, a total of 54,047 tonnes was handled by AAT, recording an increase of 35 per cent when compared with the same month last year when volumes were in sharp decline. Hactl reports overall air cargo tonnage in 2009
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) announced its 2009 aggregate air cargo throughput which shows a gradual improvement on the trade performance of Hong Kong towards the end of the year. Hactl handled 2.32 tonnes of cargo in 2009, representing a year-on-year decline of 8.3 per cent. MASkargo to upgrade cargo complex
