Hong Kong’s Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced that its tonnage throughput in May 2010 was 64,041 tonnes, recording a growth of 73 per cent compared with the same period last year. Air cargo demand continues rebound: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic statistics for May which showed a 34.3 per cent jump in freight demand and an 11.7 per cent increase in passenger traffic and compared to May 2009. “Demand rebounded strongly in May following the impact of the European volcanic ash fiasco in April. PACTL sets record in end-April
Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co. Ltd. (PACTL) has announced that in week 17 of this year from 26 April to 2 May, it set a new weekly record by handling 30,142 tonnes of air freight which surpassed the previous record of 28,400 tonnes set in November 2009.
