India’s air cargo sector is expected to grow by more than 180 per cent within the next 15 years, in a large part boosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Make in India’ campaign focusing on growing manufacturing from its present 15 per cent of GDP to a full 25 per cent by 2022, according to Dr Renu Singh Parmar, senior adviser for India’s ministry of civil aviation. Swiss WorldCargo joins e-AWB 360 vanguard

Swiss WorldCargo, the air cargo division of SWISS, has been intensifying its efforts to adopt the new electronic air waybill or e-AWB. The carrier is one of a number of International Air Transport Association (IATA) airlines that have taken the lead in the e-AWB 360 campaign, and have committed to offering e-AWB under the 'Single Process' concept at a number of airports. Finnair signs IT deal with Mercator

Finnair Cargo has signed an agreement with Mercator,  leading provider of software and technology-led solutions to the global aviation industry, for its air cargo management solution, SkyChain.
