Air India cuts freighter pilots

Air India - which is phasing out Boeing B747-400s and Airbus A310 freighters - has terminated the service contracts of 30 of its pilots who fly the freighters with more cuts expected at the loss-making carrier. March start for Swissport/Losch at Munich

Swissport International, a global provider of aviation ground services and its local partner Losch have announced they will be commencing their new joint operation at Munich Airport as planned on 1 March. AFRICA: Ethiopian adds 10 737- 800s to all-Boeing fleet

AMERICAS: Delta Air Lines reports US$1.24 billion loss

Delta Air Lines posted a 2009 net loss of US$1.2 billion, narrowed considerably from a massive deficit of $8.9 billion in 2008 when results were affected by heavy goodwill impairment charges and costs related to its acquisition of Northwest Airlines.
