INDIA:Air India adds 3 A321s to fleet

The National Aviation Company of India (Nacil), which operates Air India, took delivery of three A321 aircraft recently to further its domestic expansion plans. It will get three additional A319 aircraft in March. INDIA: Paramount Air to launch D2D cargo service

European aerospace group EADS said its Chennai-based Paramount Airways is planning to launch a door-to-door cargo service under its own brand. “We are going to launch an all encompassing cargo division. It will be for door-to-door cargo service and will be introduced under the brand name ‘Paramount’,” Chairman of the airline M Thiagarajan told PTI. INDIA: Air India to go-ahead with B777 deliveries

Air India plans to go ahead with its planned delivery of the final three of eight B777-200LRs between June and August this year, despite the global crisis and resulting aviation downturn. MALAYSIA: AirAsia X looking for 5 more A340s

AirAsia X, the long-haul subsidiary of Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia, is looking for up to five more Airbus A340- 300s to support growth while awaiting the 25 A350s or Boeing 787s that it is planning to order.
