AirAsia X, the long-haul subsidiary of Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia, is looking for up to five more Airbus A340- 300s to support growth while awaiting the 25 A350s or Boeing 787s that it is planning to order. Vietnam Airlines has appointed Globe Air Cargo, part of the European Cargo Services (ECS) group, as its exclusiveGSA partner in the UK. The new contract is part of the airline’s preparation for the launch of flights to London, which it hopes to commence in 2009. CAMBODIA: Cambodian air freight plummets in Jan
Cambodia’s air freight volumes dropped sharply in January, with industry sources reporting 40 to 50 per cent declines on 2008, according to a reportin the Phnom Penh Post.
