CMA CGM AIR CARGO to make first flight March 8 from Liege to Chicago

After forming its new air cargo division 2 weeks earlier, CMA CGM is set to begin operations on 8 March with its first cargo flight between Liege and Chicago. The company's first Airbus A330-200F will start regular operations from Liege in Belgium to Chicago and will be joined by a second one on 16 March, which will also serve the US market. CMA CGM steps up its strategic development in logistics with the creation of its AIR CARGO division

CMA CGM has created a ‘specialised’ air freight division as it expands its shipping and logistics business with new products and solutions for shippers. The ocean shipping and logistics company is set to buy four 60-tonne-payload Airbus A330-200 freighters. These aircraft, which came into service between 2014 and 2016, can cover 4,000 nautical miles and will be operated by a European airline, the company said. Etihad Cargo boosts Kuwait and Oman with A330F services

Etihad Cargo has expanded its Middle East network to Kuwait by adding an additional freighter and introduced a new twice weekly service into Muscat in Oman. Turkish Airlines orders four additional A330-200 freighters

Turkish Airlines has signed a firm order for the purchase of four A330-200F freighter aircraft. Jet Airways forays into air cargo biz

Mumbai-based Jet Airways is planning to enter its air cargo business by leasing up to three Airbus A330-200F freighter aircraft from Etihad, its Abu Dhabi-based partner airline. Etihad maindeck to Moscow as Putin threatens overflight ban

Etihad Cargo has launched, from today, twice weekly freighter rotations linking Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Moscow Domodedovo (DME) airports.
