After announcing orders for 30 incremental Airbus A321ceo aircraft just last month, Atlanta, Georgia – based Delta Air Lines has placed an order for 10 more of the aircraft. The agreement was announced today at the Paris Air Show. Airbus delivers sustainable jet fuel aircraft
Showing its strong commitment towards eco-efficiency, Airbus becomes the first aircraft manufacturer to offer its customers the option of delivering new jets using a blend of sustainable jet fuel. The 15th A350-900 for Cathay Pacific departed Toulouse on June 1st, bound for Hong Kong, with a 10 percent blend of sustainable jet fuel in its tanks. Qatar Airways begins A350 service to London Heathrow
Qatar Airways’ first daily regularly-scheduled A350 service to London Heathrow arrived in the United Kingdom on Sunday 30 October, as the airline introduced the state-of-the-art aircraft on the route, complementing the existing ‘best of fleet’ on its six daily flights from Hamad International Airport. China Airlines becomes latest operator of the A350 XWB
Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) has taken delivery of its first A350-900, becoming the ninth airline to operate the world’s newest and most efficient twin engine widebody airliner. Altogether CAL has ordered 14 A350-900s. After an initial period flying on regional services between Taipei and Hong-Kong, the aircraft will be deployed on long haul flights, starting with Amsterdam, followed by Vienna and Rome. A World Trade Organisation (WTO) compliance panel ruled on 22 September that the European Union has failed to comply with its obligation to remedy the massive subsidies European governments have provided to create and sustain Airbus for more than 40 years. Thai Airways takes delivery of first A350-900
Thai Airways International (THAI) has become the eighth operator of the A350 XWB, following the delivery today of the first of 12 aircraft set to join the carrier’s fleet. The aircraft delivered today is being operated on lease from US-based CIT.
