Fiji Airways has denied reports that the former SriLankan Airlines CEO Peter Hill has been appointed as the chief executive of Fiji's national carrier. According to a report by UK tabloid the Daily Mirror, SriLankan Airlines chairman Ajith Dias was quoted as saying Hill was leaving because he was offered the Fiji Airways managing director and CEO role. Oman Air appoints former Air Berlin exec as new CEO
Government-owned Oman Air has appointed Paul Gregorowitsch as its new chief executive officer replacing Wayne Pearce, who left the company after serving more than two years as the CEO. Prior to joining Oman Air, Gregorowitsch was a management board member at Air Berlin and was tasked with the responsibility of overseeing the German carrier’s commercial activities. Air Berlin shelves plan to sell Liesure Cargo
Air Berlin, Europe’s third-largest discount carrier said it has shelved plans to sell its standalone cargo unit - Leisure Cargo - after failing to attract a bid that matched the company’s own valuation and said it is reviewing an order for Boeing’s 787s.
