TAPA launches global campaign in face of rising cargo crime

Cebu Pacific continues int’l network expansion
The Philippine’s largest carrier, Cebu Pacific, is set to launch three new routes including first international service from the southern Philippine city of Davao. The triple launch will take place on 17 December, when CEB commences services connecting Manila with Fukuoka, Cebu with Taipei and Davao with Singapore. Virgin invests in lightweight Dyneema cargo nets
Virgin Atlantic Cargo is to start using lightweight air cargo nets with Dyneema, as part of its ongoing contribution towards the airline’s target of reducing aircraft CO2 emissions by 30 per cent by 2020. The airline has initially ordered 600 of the nets, which at nine kg each represent a four kg saving on the weight of a traditional cargo net used to secure shipments on pallets. Oman Air to lease fourteen aircraft from ALC
Oman Air has signed long-term lease agreements with US-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC) covering a total of fourteen aircraft. These include three B737-800s, seven B737 MAX 8s, and one B787-9 that are currently on order from Boeing and another one B737-700 and two B737-800s from ALC’s existing fleet. Qatar expands B787 capacity to Scandinavia
Qatar Airways is continuing its rapid growth and responding to what it says is increasing demand within Europe with a substantial increase in flight frequencies to Stockholm in Sweden, Copenhagen in Denmark and Brussels in Belgium.
