The German Red Cross and Lufthansa Cargo have flown more than 15,000 camp beds in recent days from North America to Germany. On Tuesday morning Lufthansa flight LH419 from Washington landed at the airline's hub in Frankfurt, with the B747-8I carrying approximately 1,000 camp beds. Asia-Pacific airports see flat-lined cargo growth
Air freight continued to be impacted by slowdown across Asian export markets and oil producing economies, according to Airports Council International (ACI), with July freight volumes flat in Asia-Pacific with zero per cent growth and the Middle East recording a decrease of -0.9 per cent. Qatar Cargo assists Gurkha charities in getting aid to Nepal
Qatar Airways Cargo has teamed up with English actress and philanthropist Joanna Lumley to help transport 5.3 tonnes of aid from the UK to earthquake victims in Nepal free of charge. LOT and JAL announce cargo cooperation
LOT Cargo has signed a cooperation agreement with Japanese Airlines Cargo (JAL Cargo) opening up new cargo opportunities between Tokyo and Warsaw for both carriers.
