Xiamen Airlines to launch Vancouver, NY services
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has said that Xiamen Airlines, which is based in southeast China’s Fujian province, has applied for permission to launch four weekly flights from Xiamen to Vancouver from July 2016 and weekly flights between Fuzhou and New York in January 2017. AEI announces order for 15 B737-800SF conversions
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed an order for 15 B737-800SF conversions with options for an additional 15 freighters. AEI will commence the conformity B737-800SF modification in 2016 and expects to receive FAA Supplemental Type Certification in 2017. Hong Kong warns “extra vigilance” over lithium batteries
Following four recent incidents of dangerous goods occurrences involving undeclared and/or mis-declared lithium batteries in air cargo that were exported from Hong Kong, the Special Administrative Region’s Civil Aviation Department (CAD) recently told forwarders, handlers and airlines to exercise "extra vigilance”.
