Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has selected air transport IT specialist, SITA, to automate staff rostering and allocation at Bahrain International Airport in a new five-year deal. Xiamen buys 400 ULDs from Nordisk
AAR’s Nordisk Aviation Products has received orders for nearly 400 lightweight air cargo containers and pallets from Xiamen Airlines for its first B787-8 aircraft. Garuda Indonesia will introduce Jakarta-Nagoya route in April 2015, to meet market demand and broaden its flight network in Japan. DHL builds largest warehouse in Malaysia
DHL Supply Chain is constructing a new mega warehouse in Shah Alam, Malaysia worth RM100 million (US$31.28 million). The warehouse, to be called Malaysia Integrated Logistics Centre (ILC), has a footprint of more than one million square feet, making it the largest warehouse in Malaysia, and will increase DHL Supply Chain’s warehouse footprint in the country by over 100 per cent. Researchers develop digital fingerprint for cargo
Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg, Germany are working with development partners and users such as Panalpina and Lufthansa Cargo in the joint project ESecLog to resolve the dilemma between security and efficiency.
