Air France-KLM confirms order for Airbus A350F freighter

Air France-KLM is set to be one of the launch customers for the A350F with a confirmed purchase order for four Airbus long-haul freighters, with purchase rights for an additional four aircraft, a press release stated last week. These aircraft will be operated by Air France from its global hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, equipped with a state-of-art 14,000-sqm cargo terminal. Five new ground handling contracts for WFS

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded five new cargo handling contracts by passenger and freighter airlines in France.   Four of the contracts cover Paris CDG as well as handling at WFS’ other 11 cargo stations across France. The fall in fuel prices and growth in its passenger traffic helped the Air France-KLM group post its first profit since 2008, posting a healthy operating profit of €816 million for the full year 2015, compared with a loss of €129 million in 2014, but unfortunately for the cargo division red ink still runs rampant.
