AF-KLM posts narrower loss than expected
Air France-KLM posted a narrower than expected fourth quarter loss this week after capping staff costs and cutting capacity as it awaits for elusive signs of a recovering in passenger and cargo traffic. China Southern Airlines and Air France KLM have postponed their cargo joint venture, according to China Southern chairman Si Xianmin. "Based on the original plan, our cargo JV with AF KLM should have been launched in the first quarter. A new transatlantic joint venture between Air France-KLM and Delta Air Lines will boost each partner's profits by up to US$150 million, the two airlines said recently.
