Subdued global trade continues to depress cargo: ACI

The latest figures from the Airports Council International (ACI) show a marginal growth in total air freight traffic worldwide, up 1.1 per cent in March 2016 as compared to the previous year, but largely sustained by domestic growth. International freight traffic dropped by 2.1 per cent whereas domestic freight traffic increased by a full 9.0 per cent. Hyderabad welcomes India’s first Antonov 225 call

GMR Hyderabad International Airport recorded a first for any Indian airport on 12 May by welcoming the world’s largest cargo aircraft, the AN-225 Myria (‘dream' in Ukrainian) owned by Antonov Airlines of Ukraine on its Code F compliant runway. Alibaba under pressure to crack down on fakes

Cathay, Lufthansa join forces in new cargo agreement

Cathay Pacific Cargo and Lufthansa Cargo have signed a far reaching cargo cooperation agreement to provide customers with a larger and faster joint network on routes between Hong Kong and Europe from early next year.
