Stifel Logistics Confidence Index shows tiny gain in May
The Stifel Logistics Confidence Index saw a marginal month-on-month improvement in air freight confidence in its May results with Index gained 0.4 points for a total index score of 50.0. This result is 9.5 points below that for May 2015, and 5.7 points lower than in May 2014. The present situation results rose by 1.2 points to 47.2. Silk Way Airlines AN-12 crashes on take-off in Afghanistan
A Silk Way Airlines Antonov AN-12 freighter flying out of Camp Dwyer in southern Afghanistan’s Helmand province to an unspecified Afghan destination crashed after suffering an engine failure on take off at 19:00 local time, Wednesday night.
