Emirates Airline and Lufthansa Systems today announced that they are taking a major step towards the paperless cockpit. SIAEC wins maintenance deal from Gulf Air
SIA Engineering (SIAEC) , the aircraft maintenance unit of Singapore Airlines, said it has secured a three-year contract worth US$21 million from Bahrain-based Gulf Air. The contract covers fi ve Airbus A340, six Airbus A320 and six Airbus A330 from 2008 to 2010. Telair International GmbH announced that it has received contracts from Airbus for the design/development, manufacture and support of the Lower Deck Cargo Loading System (contains integrated mechanical and electrical system) for the A330-200F, lower deck only and the A350XWB aircraft family.
