Atlas Air, a unit of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. played a behind-the-scenes role in a bit of geo-political rock and roll history on 19 March when they provided essential cargo lift to help The Rolling Stones perform in Havana, Cuba. An Atlas B747-400 freighter carried 97 tonnes of staging and musical equipment from Mexico City to Havana, with a stop at Miami International Airport. Carriers set to defend cartel claims in US court

Panalpina expands air freight network to Brazil

Panalpina is expanding its controlled air freight network by adding a full-freighter service to Brazil. As of March, Panalpina will not only operate scheduled charter flights from Hong Kong to Huntsville, but also from Huntsville to São Paulo. Etihad Cargo adds third B747 from Atlas Air

Etihad Cargo has expanded its fleet of freighter aircraft with the placement of a third B747 freighter from Atlas Air Worldwide as part of a multi-year Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) agreement.
