A British Airways aircraft engine caught fire in Las Vegas as it was about to take off for London, Gatwick Tuesday night (US west coast time), forcing all 172 passengers and crew to escape down emergency slides as smoke and flames engulfed the aircraft. China Southern launches Guangzhou-Stansted
China Southern Cargo is the latest major carrier to join Stansted Airport’s global cargo network when it began a new service to Guangzhou n 20 June. The airline now operates two flights a week, rising to three a week later this year, to Stansted from China’s third largest city, using a B777-200 freighter. The service will be the only direct freighter link between the UK and China and the airport’s first scheduled cargo link to Guangzhou. Emirates SkyCargo adds Dubai-Orlando
Emirates SkyCargo is set to expand its US cargo network to 11 destinations, when the airline launches a daily service to Orlando, Florida from 1st September 2015. The Dubai – Orlando route will be served by a B777-200 LR.
