Belgian air traffic controllers significantly disrupted flights at Brussels airport yesterday when they implemented a wildcat strike action at the height of the evening ‘rush hour’ Tuesday night.  The action followed their union’s rejection of a compromise aimed at solving a conflict over a pension reform. Brussels Airport gets back on its feet, slowly

Brussels Airport is gradually regaining its footing with flights gradually increasing, nearly two weeks after suicide bombers blew themselves up in its departure hall, killing 16 people and injuring dozens. The airport was immediately closed to all passenger and cargo traffic after the attacks of 22 March. Cargo ops resume at Brussels Airport

Cargo flights and private flights handled by General Aviation have resumed at Brussels Airport as of today, but passenger flights are suspended until at least Friday, the airport said in a statement. Brucargo landside has been cleared since yesterday and cargo flights were given a green light today following the clearance of Brucargo airside. Brussels Airport remains locked down today after dual terrorist attacks struck BRU and the Maelbeek Metro station in the Belgium capital yesterday killing at least 30 and wounding more than 200.
