Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) has taken delivery of its first A350-900, becoming the ninth airline to operate the world’s newest and most efficient twin engine widebody airliner. Altogether CAL has ordered 14 A350-900s. CAL Cargo Airlines has announced a new round-trip service from Atlanta to Liege, Belgium. The service includes two weekly rotations, ATL-LGG-ATL, with the first flight departing Liege on 25 Sept. CAL begins CEIV Pharma at Liege
Tel Aviv-based CAL Group has announced it has joined IATA’s Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) programme. Once completed, CAL will be the first group to have a certified pharmaceutical logistics programme throughout its logistics hub at Liege Airport. China Air begins Taoyuan-Shenzhen
Taiwan's China Airlines (CAL) has launched a new freighter service from Taoyuan to Shenzhen. The airline will operate three flights per week on this route using B747-400F jets. CAL said it is believes the new route could meet the growing demand for the shipment of consumer electronics and express air parcel as Shenzhen is a major hub for e-commerce and online shopping. Liege Airport has confirmed its position as the number one cargo airport in Belgium with 590,579 tonnes of cargo passing through the airport in 2014, against 560,949 tonnes in 2013, representing an increase of 5.3 per cent.
