DHL Express is adding more capacity from Asia Pacific to the Americas with a crew and maintenance agreement (CM) with long-time partner Singapore Airlines (SIA) who will operate five Boeing 777 freighters for the integrator. Boeing is gaining more interest for its newest widebody freighter after the manufacturer and long-standing customer Ethiopian Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the intent to purchase five 777-8 freighters. DHL Express adds 777F capacity from Vietnam to US
DHL Express is deploying a Boeing 777F on a new route between Ho Chi Minh City and the United States in response to growing bilateral trade between the two countries. Operated by Kalitta Air, the dedicated freighter will offer up to 102 tonnes additional capacity for exporters in Vietnam and will link Sydney, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh and Nagoya before arriving at DHL’s Cincinnati hub. DHL Express floats ‘yellow boat’ on Batam-Singapore route
DHL Express earlier this month launched its first delivery service by boat between Batam in Indonesia and Singapore as part of its commitment to using multi-transport modes to improve transit time for shipments.
