DHL Supply Chain is constructing a new mega warehouse in Shah Alam, Malaysia worth RM100 million (US$31.28 million). The warehouse, to be called Malaysia Integrated Logistics Centre (ILC), has a footprint of more than one million square feet, making it the largest warehouse in Malaysia, and will increase DHL Supply Chain’s warehouse footprint in the country by over 100 per cent. ABX Air to return four DHL-owned freighters
ABX Air, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), has received termination notices from DHL affecting four DHL-owned Boeing 767-200 freighter aircrafts that ABX Air leases and operates within the US. DHL sought bids to operate the aircraft from other vendors earlier this year. The notices are effective in late December 2014 for two aircraft, and in January 2015 for the two remaining aircraft. DHL wins major Luft Technik Logistik contract
DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, has announced a new three-year contract to handle the transatlantic transport of spare parts and tools for the Lufthansa subsidiary Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services GmbH. Integrator growth offsets maindeck plummet at Brussels
Cargo volumes carried from Brussels Airport stabilised in the month of July, down slightly by 0.8 per cent year-on-year to 36,883 tonnes with belly cargo seeing a 7.4 per cent increases to 11,882 tonnes, confirming what the airport said was the positive trend started at the end of last year.
