Emirates to add belly capacity from MEL next month

Emirates is looking to restore its pre-pandemic capacity to Australia with the resumption of passenger services to Sydney and Melbourne using its Boeing-777 300ER. Melbourne Airport CEO, Lorie Argus, said the added passenger services will provide additional freight opportunities into Asia and the Middle East, with the Boeing 777-300ER capable of accommodating another 22 tonnes of belly freight. Air Canada to start freight service to Liege in Feb

Air Canada Cargo plans to start scheduled service to Liege with its Boeing 767 freighters starting in February, whilst flights to Basel, one of Europe's premiere pharmaceutical hubs, are slated to begin in April. The Canadian carrier will operate flights twice per week to Liege, with service increasing to three flights per week later in the year. Basel will see two flights per week. Etihad Cargo adds capacity to Shanghai

Etihad Cargo has offered additional capacity on direct freighter service to Shanghai starting 2 February 2023, The additional weekly Abu Dhabi–Shanghai freighter flight brings the total number of dedicated cargo flights to eight per week with 850 tonnes of capacity. Amsterdam airside turns to renewable diesel

The Dutch aviation community is expanding its sustainability efforts on the ground as airport operator Royal Schiphol partnered with Neste distributor EG Group to introduce renewable diesel for ground support and equipment.
