Schiphol tonnages hit by slowing Chinese output
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s cargo throughput totalled 385,842 tonnes in the first three months of 2015, down 1.8 per cent on 2014. Reductions in cargo to and from Asia and Europe accounted for the drop, the first quarterly fall in almost two years. Schiphol apoints new cargo director
On 1 August 2015, Jonas van Stekelenburg will be appointed new cargo director of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. He will succeed Enno Osinga, who plans to retire in September 2015. 2014 was another solid year for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol‘s cargo traffic, beating 2013 by 6.7 per cent. The final quarter of the year was once again its strongest, maintaining the classic last-quarter-peak pattern which was the norm before the 2008 global recession. Schiphol maintains cargo growth
Cargo tonnage through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has continued its positive trend for the third quarter of 2014, up 6.7 per cent on the same period of 2013, and 8.1 per cent for the year to date.
