The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has criticised the decision by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development (HMWEVL) to provide fee incentives for new airlines establishing services at Frankfurt Airport. Frankfurt Airport reports cargo throughput (airfreight + airmail) at FRA was positively impacted by the slight recovery of the global economy, resulting in a gain of 5.9 per cent in September 2016.
