About 5.6 million passengers travelled through Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in June 2024, an increase of 1.4 percent year-on-year. Last year’s June passenger numbers were additionally boosted by the different timing of the Whitsun holiday, falling in June last year but already occurring in May this year. Frankfurt Airport’s cargo volume inched up in September
Frankfurt Airport's cargo volumes, which comprised air freight and mail, edged up 1.3 percent year-on-year to 163,687 metric tonnes in September. Fraport introduces automatic license plate detection
Press release Fraport, the company that operates Frankfurt Airport (FRA), launched a new technology that automates the process of driving into FRA’s CargoCity South. At Gates 31 and 32, an innovative camera system now reads the license plates of arriving visitors and crosschecks them against stored datasets. If they match, the system automatically opens the gate.
