Wizz Air adds Frankfurt airport to its low-fare network

BARIG criticises Frankfurt fee incentives
The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has criticised the decision by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development (HMWEVL) to provide fee incentives for new airlines establishing services at Frankfurt Airport. Frankfurt Airport sees September 5.9% pickup in cargo volume
Frankfurt Airport reports cargo throughput (airfreight + airmail) at FRA was positively impacted by the slight recovery of the global economy, resulting in a gain of 5.9 per cent in September 2016. Frankfurt sees flat cargo volumes in 1Q, down 1%
In the first quarter of 2016, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) saw cargo (airfreight and airmail) volumes decrease slightly by 1.0 per cent to 506,434 tonnes during the first three months of 2016, partly reflecting the slowdown in global trade.
