Frankfurt Airport (FRA) welcomed approximately 63.2 million passengers in 2025. This represented year-on-year growth of around 2.6 percent. European traffic at Germany's biggest airport was up 3.7 percent. The strongest performing destinations were in Southern and Southeastern Europe (up 6.4 percent). In August 2025, some 6.3 million passengers traveled via Frankfurt Airport (FRA), 4.1 percent more than a year before. Summer holidays ensured consistently high demand during the month. Some 5.6 million passengers travelled via Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in May 2025, representing an increase of 1.8 percent compared to the same month last year.
