China Southern Airlines has announced that it will soon start two new services to Europe and the US, as well as boost flights on current routes, in a bid to strengthen its global air cargo network, according to Xinhua. From 24 July the Chinese carrier's cargo division began flying between Guangzhou and Amsterdam with four flights a week using its new B777F aircraft. United Airlines has received permission from the US Transportation Department to delay the start of flights between San Francisco and Guangzhou, China until June 2010 because of the steep drop off in demand.
