Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded growth in all three air traffic categories in the first half of 2017, highlighted by significant growth in cargo throughput. From January to June this year, HKIA handled 2.3 million tonnes of cargo, soaring 11.3% over the same period last year. HKIA sees cargo growth of 7.1% in October
Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) tonnage grew year-on-year (YOY) by 7.1 per cent in October to 420,000 tonnes in the month. The strong growth was mainly attributed to the robust 13 per cent YOY growth in transhipments. Among the key trade lanes, traffic to and from Europe and Southeast Asia increased most significantly during the month, HKIA reports. MAB Kargo launches twice weekly Guangzhou service with A330F
MAB Kargo is strengthening its footprint in the East of China with the launch of new freighter service to Guangzhou (CAN) from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) as part of its extensive routes in the East China region. A MAB Kargo A330-200 freighter will operate twice weekly services to CAN commencing from 8 November 2016. These services make a new stop at Guangzhou every Tuesday and Thursday. DHL Express announced today the opening of its new state-of-the-art service centre located at Goodman Interlink in Tsing Yi.
