Hong Kong International Airport reported double-digit cargo growth in July, on the back of strong imports and exports, as passenger traffic slid slightly below pre-pandemic levels. Hong Kong cargo traffic sees double-digit growth in June
Traffic figures released for June 2021 by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) reveal that Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) saw cargo volume jump 11.5 percent year on year with 399,000 tonnes, whilst passenger traffic climbed more than 40 percent from June of last year, with flight movements up over 10 percent. Hong Kong International Airport received the Gold Recognition for its outstanding achievement in improving local air quality at the ACI’s Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition programme. Press release Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) released Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) traffic statistics for April 2021. During the month, cargo throughput saw a year-on-year increase of 15.5 percent to 389,000 tonnes. HKIA handled 60,000 passengers and 10,375 flights, marking year-on-year increases of 89.0 percent and 9.9 percent, respectively. Hong Kong’s cargo volume saw a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent to 397,000 tonnes in March, according to the latest statistics from Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA). Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) last week released the traffic figures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for February 2021.
