Hawaiian Air applies for Tokyo-Kona service
Hawaiian Airlines filed an application with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin service this summer between Tokyo International Airport at Haneda (HND) and Kona International Airport (KOA) on Hawai'i Island. Air Can Rouge to operate new Asian route
Air Canada Rouge, the recently-launched “leisure airline”, will arrive in Asia for the first time next year. The carrier currently operates low-cost services to a range of leisure destinations in Europe and the Caribbean, but on 1 May 2015 it will launch its first trans-Pacific flights connecting Vancouver with Osaka. Jetstar deploys new B787s on Japan routes
Jetstar last week began using its most recent B787 delivery to replace an A330 on service from Cairns to Osaka, Japan. The low-cost carrier (LCC) also introduced a B787 on its Cairns-Tokyo route in August, and on its Gold Coast-Tokyo flight in July.
