Southern Air and Malaysia Airlines Cargo (MASkargo) have announced that they have entered into a multi-year, multi-aircraft wet lease agreement. Southern Air initially will provide MASkargo with three Boeing 747 Freighters along with crew, maintenance and insurance. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has instituted proceedings in the Federal Court against Malaysia Airlines and its wholly-owned cargo subsidiary MASkargo. Malaysia Airlines is the 13th carrier to be investigated in ACCC proceedings for alleged price fixing in the air cargo industry. MASkargo hit by price fixing complaint in US
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has been served with a complaint by a US court over allegations of price fixing on US cargo shipments. MAS said its offices in the US were served with the complaint, which was filed by Benchmark Export Services and six other plaintiffs against MAS and 11 other defendants.
