Philippine air cargo up 9% in Q1

Total air cargo volumes uplifted by all Philippine flagged carriers in the first quarter of 2015 rose 9.4 per cent to 58,900 tonnes from 53,820 tonnes in the same period last year, according to the latest data from the country's Civil Aeronautics Board. Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific remained in top position with a 43.9 per cent share of the total uplifted cargo. PAL bans lithium-ion batteries as cargo

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has joined other international carriers in banning the shipment of lithium ion batteries due to the potential fire hazards posed by such type of cargo. Tigerair Philippines rebrands as Cebgo

Tigerair Philippines, the wholly owned subsidiary of Cebu Pacific Air, now operates as Cebgo. Cebu Pacific to launch Qatar flights

CEB’s cargo revenues up by 15.7% in 1H 2014

Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific reported its net income for the first half of 2014 at PHP 3 billion (US$68.4 million), an increase from Php 257 million for the same period last year. Its Q2 2014 total revenues increased 33.7 per cent YoY to Php 14.95 billion.   Cargo revenues posted an increase of 15.7 per cent as CEB carried 37 million of kilos of cargo, an increase of 17.7 per cent for the same period last year.
