Blue Dart December quarter profit rises 17%
India’s Blue Dart Express reported a 17.7 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 27.13 crore for the quarter ended December 2014. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 23.04 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, it said in a filing to the BSE. Boeing reported record fourth-quarter revenue of US$24.5 billion on higher deliveries and core earnings per share (non-GAAP) that increased 23 per cent to US$2.31, reflecting strong performance across the company. Emirates announced its half-yearly results which show steady performance and growth, despite a challenging business environment. In the first half of its financial year 2014-15, Emirates Airlines’ volume of cargo uplifted was up by 5.4 per cent. Turkish Airlines recorded 398 million TRY (US$182.49 million) net profit in the second quarter and 172 million in first half of 2014. Sales revenue increased by 37 per cent in the first half, reaching 11,3 billion TRY. Emirates posts 26th year of profits, up 43%
In a tale of contrasting fortunes with much of the industry, Emirates Airline reported a 43 per cent jump in 2013 net profit helped by higher revenue and lower fuel costs.
