Cargo tonnage through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has continued its positive trend for the third quarter of 2014, up 6.7 per cent on the same period of 2013, and 8.1 per cent for the year to date. Schipol launches ‘scan street’
A new air cargo security project – Cargo Checkpoint - has been launched at Amsterdam Schiphol airport in the Netherlands. It uses a variety of systems to check cargo containers as they are driven through a so-called "scan street'' on trailers at a speed of 10 km an hour.
