TransAsia Airways flight GE235 crashed in Taipei a few minutes after it took off at 10:53 am local time Wednesday. A pilot of the TransAsia Airways Flight 235 said "mayday, mayday, engine flameout" moments before the propjet banked sharply and crashed into a river, Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration said Thursday as the death toll grew to 31 with 12 people still missing.There are 15 survivors. Air China announced that it will increase the number of direct flights it offers between the mainland and Taiwan, according to a South China Morning Post report.
