United Parcel Service (UPS) is making further steps to find new ways to help small businesses with sustainable solutions. Through its subsidiary UPS Flight Forward, the company plans to purchase electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from startup Beta Technologies. UPS has added Vietnam to its existing intra-Asia route as a Boeing 767 freighter with livery painted of the company’s signature “browntail” landed at Ho Chi Minh’s Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (SGN) on 15 September. Amazon gets regulatory approval to test drone delivery
Amazon Prime Air, Amazon’s special service delivering packages in 30 minutes or less, has been approved by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to start trials of transporting orders using autonomous drones. US express delivery company United Parcel Service Inc (UPS) is said to be in talks to buy Chicago-based Coyote Logistics LLC for at least US$1.8 billion, according to a Reuters report quoting a source familiar with negotiations.
