IATA welcomes entry into force of WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has welcomed the entry into force of the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA). This follows the ratification of the treaty by two-thirds of the members of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Vladimir Zubkov to be TIACA’s new secretary general
The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced its new secretary general, will be Vladimir Zubkov, replacing Doug Brittin, who retires at the end of the year. Zubkov has more than 40 years’ experience in the air transport industry, including senior roles with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), and, most recently, as vice president of the Volga-Dnepr Group of Companies. EU failed to remedy 40 years of Airbus subsidies: WTO
A World Trade Organisation (WTO) compliance panel ruled on 22 September that the European Union has failed to comply with its obligation to remedy the massive subsidies European governments have provided to create and sustain Airbus for more than 40 years. E-progress in September, global penetration now 34%
In September 2015, e-AWB global penetration is at 34.1 per cent, up by 2.4 per cent from previous month making this the second month with over two per cent growth. Ethiopian Airlines (ET) were the growth leaders in September with an increase of 8.5 per cent reaching 63.2 per cent e-AWB penetration.
