AMI Cape Town triples size of perishables facility
The Cape Town, South Africa, base of – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight and express wholesaler – has doubled the size of its facility, and trebled its temperature-controlled storage for perishables. AMI has acquired the facility adjacent to its current base at Cape Town International Airport, doubling its warehousing to 1,000 sqm. AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) is launching twice-weekly B747 freighter services connecting Heathrow, the UK’s biggest port by value, with its international network via its Moscow hub, starting 3 November. Donghai Airlines finalises order for five B787-9 Dreamliners
Donghai Airlines and Boeing announced today the finalisation of an order for five B787-9 Dreamliners, valued at US$1.32 billion at current list prices. Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines announced its intent to order 25 B737 MAX 8s and five B787-9 Dreamliners in July at the Farnborough International Airshow.
