Etihad Cargo has announced three new freighter services from Europe. Last month Etihad Cargo started operating B777 freighters from East Midlands and Stansted airports in the UK and from Copenhagen in Denmark. Cathay Pacific eyeing a boost in maindeck capacity to India
Driven primarily by pharmaceutical traffic, India is proving to be a bright spot in the cargo sector for Cathay Pacific Airways with its current 25 freighter frequencies per week. The carrier has seen an eight per cent growth in cargo volumes in first nine months (January-September) of this year between Hong Kong and the six indian cities it serves with maindeck capacity. HKIA sees cargo growth of 7.1% in October
Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) tonnage grew year-on-year (YOY) by 7.1 per cent in October to 420,000 tonnes in the month. The strong growth was mainly attributed to the robust 13 per cent YOY growth in transhipments. Among the key trade lanes, traffic to and from Europe and Southeast Asia increased most significantly during the month, HKIA reports. PACTL sets new cargo handling record in October
Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) - the largest provider of air cargo handling services at Shanghai Pudong airport - achieved the highest monthly tonnage in the company’s history, handling153,607 tonnes in October, featuring a volume growth of 8.9 per cent year-on-year. Cebu Pacific sees profit double, cargo revenue up
Philippine low cost carrier Cebu Pacific and its wholly owned subsidiary Cebgo, generated a net income of P7.1 billion (US$144.4 million) from January to September 2016, equating to a 99.6 per cent increase from the P3.6 billion earned in the same period last year.
