Etihad Cargo has expanded its fleet of freighter aircraft with the placement of a third B747 freighter from Atlas Air Worldwide as part of a multi-year Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) agreement. Middle East air cargo surges 17% in September
Air cargo volumes in the Middle East recorded the strongest growth in September than in other region, according to new data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Cargo volumes carried by the region’s carriers grew by 17 per cent YoY, while capacity expanded 14.5 per cent. Cathay Pacific Airways has launched a new freighter service to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, commencing 23 November 2014. Batik Air took delivery of its maiden pair of A320-200 (sl)s, PK-LAF (cn 6164) and PK-LAG (cn 6280), Skyliner Aviation reports.
